Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to design efficient, energy-conscious HVAC
systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The role involves performing
load calculations, selecting equipment, preparing detailed drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
MEP, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs comply with
applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry standards and software to
determine HVAC system requirements.
2. Design HVAC systems using AutoCAD and Revit MEP for new construction and renovation
projects.
3. Select and specify HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems,
ventilation fans, pumps, and accessories.
4. Design and size ductwork for supply, return, fresh air, and exhaust systems while
optimizing airflow and pressure losses.
5. Prepare detailed HVAC layouts, schematics, sections, schedules, and technical
specifications.
6. Coordinate with structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams
to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration.
7. Participate in design reviews and incorporate client and consultant feedback.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and energy-efficiency requirements.
9. Support project execution teams with technical clarifications and drawing revisions.
10. Maintain project documentation and revision control.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of HVAC design experience . Age below 45 years.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection.
- Understanding of ASHRAE, NBC, SMACNA and relevant standards.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
