2. Operations & Logistics
- Receiving and Dispatching: Organizing the safe, efficient, and timely unloading, sorting, and dispatching of products.
- Space Utilization: Planning the optimal layout of the godown for maximum space efficiency and accessibility.
- Logistics Coordination: Communicating with transportation services, suppliers, and procurement teams to ensure seamless delivery schedules. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
3. Team Leadership
- Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and scheduling warehouse staff.
- Task Assignment: Delegating daily duties and evaluating worker performance to maximize productivity.
- Safety Protocols: Fostering a safety-first culture, enforcing the use of protective gear, and monitoring the safe operation of equipment like forklifts. [1, 2, 3]
4. Facility & Maintenance
- Equipment Upkeep: Ensuring all mechanical and IT systems (barcode scanners, conveyors, forklifts) are regularly inspected and maintained. [1]
- Security & Hygiene: Maintaining facility cleanliness and ensuring security protocols (locks, alarms, CCTV) are strictly followed to prevent loss or damage
