Concept Development
- Develop creative and functional design concepts based on client needs, trends, and usability.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and digital models to visualize ideas.
2. Design & Drafting
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or SolidWorks) to produce detailed drawings and 3D models.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
3. Material & Finish Selection
- Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and textiles based on design, durability, and cost.
- Ensure materials meet safety, sustainability, and quality standards.
4. Prototyping & Testing
- Work with craftsmen or manufacturers to build prototypes.
- Evaluate prototypes for functionality, aesthetics, ergonomics, and durability.
- Revise designs based on testing and feedback.
5. Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with clients, interior designers, architects, and manufacturers.
- Present designs and explain concepts clearly in meetings or presentations.
6. Trend & Market Research
- Stay updated with industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies.
- Incorporate trends while maintaining brand identity or client requirements.
7. Project Management
- Oversee the design process from concept to final product delivery.
- Ensure designs are completed on time and within budget.
8. Quality Control
- Monitor the production process to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Inspect finished furniture pieces to confirm they match design specifications.
9. Documentation
- Maintain records of designs, revisions, material specs, and client feedback.
- Prepare catalogs or portfolios for marketing and client presentations.
