1. Purpose of the Role
The PMO Analyst/Support role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end intake of new business requests, maintaining the demand pipeline, preparing governance materials, and supporting prioritisation and decision-making processes across the IT portfolio. The role acts as a key liaison between business requesters and IT Business Partners, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strong governance discipline throughout the intake and triage lifecycle.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Intake & Demand Coordination

Coordinate the end-to-end intake of new business requests, ensuring all submissions are complete, well defined, and aligned to the intake framework.

Act as the primary liaison between requesters and IT Business Partners to clarify requirements, priorities, impacts, and urgency.

Maintain and continuously update the demand pipeline with accurate status, categorization (BAU, non-BAU), and sequencing.
2.2 Governance & Reporting Support

Prepare materials and data inputs for PMO triage meetings and IT SteerCo, including demand summaries, scoring, recommendations, and prioritisation insights.

Track decisions, actions, and follow-ups from governance forums, ensuring timely communication back to requesters and IT Business Partners.

Support continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, recurring issues, or gaps in demand documentation.
3. Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential

Strong experience in IT PMO support, demand management, or portfolio coordination roles within technology-focused environments.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable interfacing with business requesters and IT Business Partners to refine and challenge demand.

Solid understanding of intake, triage, prioritisation, and governance processes (including SteerCo preparation).

Ability to interpret business cases, evaluate benefits/effort/impact, and highlight key risks or gaps for decision-making.

High attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple incoming requests simultaneously.

Proficiency in preparing clear, concise reporting and slide materials for senior leadership stakeholders.

Experience of ITSM & work management platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, …)
