Job Description:
Job Summary: The Technician will support the VAVE team by performing product tear-down activities, collecting and documenting engineering data, preparing analysis reports, and maintaining technical records. The role requires hands-on disassembly of products, accurate measurement and documentation of components, and collaboration with engineering teams to identify cost reduction and product improvement opportunities.

Perform systematic tear-down and disassembly of products, assemblies, and components.

Identify, classify, and organize parts for further analysis.

Record component details including material, dimensions, manufacturing process, and part functions.

Ensure proper handling and storage of teardown components and samples.

Collect engineering data from tear-down activities, drawings, specifications, and BOMs.

Measure components using standard measuring instruments.

Capture photographs and maintain detailed records of findings.

Create and maintain databases of product components, materials, and costs.

Support benchmarking and competitive product analysis activities.

Prepare tear-down reports, data sheets, comparison charts, and presentation materials.

Document observations, findings, and recommendations in a structured format.

Generate reports highlighting component details, cost opportunities, and design differences.

Work closely with VAVE Engineers, Design Engineers.

Support engineering reviews and project discussions with collected data and documentation.

Follow laboratory/workshop safety procedures.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of technical data.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
MS Office proficiency, drawing/BOM interpretation, measurement tools knowledge, documentation and analytical skills.
Experience in VAVE, cost reduction, benchmarking, reverse engineering, CAD and PLM systems.
Support the VAVE team through product tear-down, detailed data collection, technical documentation, and report generation to enable cost optimization and product improvement.
