Account Assistant
Job Summary
The Account Assistant shall be responsible for supporting the accounting by handling financial documentation, recording transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic accounting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and purchase orders.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support payroll processing by maintaining employee payment records.
- Help prepare tax-related documents and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding payments and billing.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to the finance department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Tally accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GST, TDS, or other local tax regulations (where applicable).
- Knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
Experience
- Entry-level: 0–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Prior internship or work experience in a finance department is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Full-time office
- Standard business hours, with occasional overtime during month-end or year-end closing periods.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
