Backend Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for a Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, along with a solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and backend performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.
- Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for database design, queries, indexing, and optimization.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and input validation.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control.
- Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of authentication methods such as JWT.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to write clean code.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Redis, Docker, or cloud platforms.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and database indexing.
