Core Responsibilities
- Inspecting & Testing: Perform visual and mechanical inspections on incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products to verify they match blueprints and specifications. [1]
- Measuring: Utilize precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to ensure dimensions and functional requirements fall within acceptable tolerance levels. [1, 2]
- Documenting Results: Log inspection data, track pass/fail metrics, and generate reports on wastes, re-works, and overall trends. [1]
- Process Monitoring: Check production lines to ensure assembly procedures align with regulations and compliance standards. [1, 2]
- Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate patterns of defects and work with production teams to recommend corrective actions and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
