Production & Process Engineer
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE
Owveal Engineering is looking for a proactive and execution-oriented Production & Process Engineer to work on manufacturing operations, process improvement and implementation of new systems at a growing engineering manufacturing facility.
We are looking for someone who is not just comfortable with routine production work, but is interested in understanding problems, improving processes and making things work better.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle and monitor production planning and manufacturing activities.
- Study existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement improved production and process systems.
- Support ISO 9001 and quality system implementation.
- Monitor production, material usage, wastage, quality and productivity.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process documentation.
- Work closely with the shop floor and ensure that planned improvements are actually implemented.
- Support process planning and engineering/design-related activities wherever required.
- Prepare basic MIS and reports for management.
- Identify problems proactively and work towards practical solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years of practical manufacturing/production experience.
- Good understanding of production processes and process planning.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Good understanding of ISO and quality systems.
- Ability to work directly with shop-floor teams.
- Willingness to learn engineering design and product development.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting for instructions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in the following areas will be an advantage:
- Sheet metal, steel, fabrication or engineering manufacturing.
- Production planning and control.
- Process improvement.
- ISO 9001.
- 5S and Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to read CAD drawings and engineering drawings.
- ERP and production MIS.
LOCATION PREFERENCE
Candidates residing within approximately 5–10 km of Manali, Chennai will be preferred.
