Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Leadership: Train, coach, and schedule cashiers; foster a positive, efficient work environment.
- Cash Management: Reconcile daily cash, credit, and debit sales; prepare bank deposits and handle secure cash transfers.
- Customer Service: Address escalated complaints, manage returns/exchanges, and ensure swift, polite service.
- Operational Support: Manage POS systems, perform register audits, handle refunds, and ensure sufficient change in registers.
- Compliance & Security: Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality, including, if applicable, anti-money laundering regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is usually required, with proven leadership skills.
- Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, strong numerical accuracy, and advanced cash handling knowledge.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, multitasking, and interpersonal abilities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typical.
