Ecolab is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing Copywriter to join our Creative Services team within the Marketing function, based at our office in Pune, India. This role is responsible for developing compelling, audience-centric content that drives engagement, strengthens brand consistency, and supports business objectives across multiple marketing channels.
The Senior Copywriter will partner closely with designers, project managers, marcomm, and business stakeholders to translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive, and impactful communications. The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing ability, proofreading and a strong understanding of modern content and digital marketing practices. You will write compelling messages that speak to people’s hearts and minds. This is a high-impact, multi-project role that demands strong writing instincts, adaptability, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
Copy Quality Assurance & Content Governance - Serve as a quality gatekeeper for written content, ensuring all deliverables meet established standards for accuracy, clarity, grammar, style, tone, and brand compliance before publication or distribution.
Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline writing workflows and content processes; implement improvements and share best practices with the broader team. Establish and maintain copy quality checklists, editorial standards, and review processes to drive consistency and reduce rework.
Support knowledge management activities by identifying and updating knowledge as requested and required. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to writers, content contributors, and stakeholders to continuously improve content quality.
Contribute continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and implementing changes to enhance processes. Support the development and maintenance of style guides, messaging frameworks, terminology libraries, and content governance practices.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field.
8-10 years of professional copywriting, creative writing experience, preferably within a B2B, agency or a global corporate house
Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills demonstrating creative ideation and content across multiple formats and channels.
Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sitecore (CMS), Widen DAM, and keyword research platforms (e.g., Google Keyword Planner).
