Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Reporting Engineer (Power BI) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks, with experience building scalable dashboards, paginated reports, and business intelligence solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality reporting solutions that support strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports for business users.
- Translate business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and high-performing reporting solutions.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views using SQL Server (T-SQL).
- Build and enhance reporting solutions leveraging Snowflake and Databricks as enterprise data platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and define reporting requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards.
- Optimize report performance, data models, and SQL queries to improve responsiveness and scalability.
- Develop reusable datasets, semantic models, and reporting standards to support self-service analytics.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues, resolve data discrepancies, and provide production support.
- Participate in report validation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Document reporting solutions, technical specifications, and development standards.
- Follow best practices for data governance, security, compliance, and report lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Reporting Engineer, Power BI Developer, BI Developer, or similar role.
- Proven experience developing enterprise Power BI dashboards and paginated reports.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL Server and advanced T-SQL development.
- Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks in enterprise reporting environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification is a plus.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting or cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Remote
