Account Manager – UK Clients

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Account Manager to manage relationships with UK-based clients and coordinate the successful delivery of multiple projects.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams. They will be responsible for understanding client objectives, planning and monitoring projects, presenting performance data, managing expectations and ensuring that all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
This role requires excellent communication skills, strong project management knowledge, confident client handling and the ability to lead internal teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and develop long-term relationships with UK clients.
· Act as the primary contact for client communication, meetings and project updates.
· Understand client objectives, commercial priorities and service requirements.
· Translate client requirements into clear briefs, timelines, tasks and deliverables.
· Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
· Coordinate internal teams and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
· Prepare and deliver data-led reports, presentations and performance reviews.
· Explain results, challenges, opportunities and recommended next steps clearly.
· Lead regular client meetings, progress calls and quarterly business reviews.
· Record meeting actions, responsibilities and deadlines and ensure they are completed.
· Manage client expectations regarding project scope, timelines, budgets and results.
· Identify project risks, delays or performance concerns and take corrective action.
· Review client-facing work before submission to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Handle complaints, escalations and difficult conversations professionally.
· Monitor account performance, profitability, renewals and growth opportunities.
· Identify suitable opportunities for upselling or expanding client services.
· Support, guide and coordinate junior team members and delivery teams.
· Maintain accurate project trackers, CRM records, reports and account documentation.
Essential Skills and Experience
· Minimum 4+ years of experience in account management, client services, project management or a similar role.
· Proven experience managing UK-based clients.
· Strong understanding of project planning, task management, resource coordination, risk management and delivery.
· Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience managing multiple accounts, priorities and deadlines.
· Strong team management and cross-departmental coordination skills.
· Ability to analyse performance data and turn it into meaningful business insights.
· Experience creating professional reports, dashboards and presentations.
· Excellent spoken and written English with strong vocabulary, grammar and business-writing skills.
· Confident communication with business owners, directors and senior stakeholders.
· Strong problem-solving, negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
· Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
· Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure.
· Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, account profitability and out-of-scope work.
Desirable Experience
· Experience within digital marketing, technology, outsourcing, professional services or a consultancy environment.
· Knowledge of SEO, PPC, social media, website development, content marketing or analytics.
· Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Excel, Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, Jira, Trello or HubSpot.
· Experience managing retainers, contracts, renewals and service-level agreements.
· A qualification in business, marketing, communications or project management.

This is not simply a coordination role. The Account Manager will be expected to provide structure, leadership, commercial awareness and strategic direction across every assigned account.
