Job Summary
The Sports Coach will be responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising sports and physical education activities for students and youth associated with the foundation. The candidate should be passionate about sports training, student development, and creating an encouraging environment for physical fitness and team participation.
The role includes organizing coaching sessions, preparing students for competitions, maintaining sports discipline, and coordinating with schools and local authorities for sports-related activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSports Training & Coaching
- Conduct regular coaching sessions for students in indoor and outdoor sports activities.
- Train students in fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Identify and nurture talented students for district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Develop age-appropriate training plans and fitness routines.
Event & Competition Management
- Organize sports events, tournaments, annual sports days, and inter-school competitions.
- Prepare teams for ZP, district, taluka, and state-level sports competitions.
- Coordinate participation, registrations, and documentation for competitions.
- Ensure proper supervision and safety during sports activities.
Student Development
- Encourage participation of students in physical education and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain attendance and performance records of students.
- Motivate students towards healthy lifestyles and regular physical activity.
- Support inclusive participation for girls and differently-abled students wherever applicable.
Equipment & Ground Management
- Maintain sports equipment, inventory, and training materials.
- Ensure sports grounds and facilities are used safely and effectively.
- Report requirements for sports materials and equipment maintenance.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with school authorities, parents, and management regarding sports activities.
- Submit regular activity reports, progress reports, and event documentation.
- Follow organizational policies and child safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Physical Education (B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., or equivalent preferred).
- Certification or specialization in any sport is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of coaching or sports training experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching techniques and fitness training.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and motivational abilities.
- Ability to work with children and youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of sports event organization and reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in schools, NGOs, academies, or community sports programs.
- Familiarity with Maharashtra school sports competitions and ZP-level tournaments.
- Ability to coach multiple sports activities is preferred.
- Passionate about youth development and community engagement.
Salary
