Job Summary
The CT Scan Technician is responsible for performing CT scan procedures as prescribed by doctors while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging results. The technician operates CT scan equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and maintains proper records and radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scan procedures as per physician instructions.
- Prepare and position patients correctly for scanning.
- Explain procedures and safety instructions to patients.
- Operate and maintain CT scan equipment efficiently.
- Ensure radiation protection and safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any complications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
- Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare staff.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the CT scan room.
- Follow hospital policies, infection control, and quality standards.
Job Specification
Qualification
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
- Certified CT Scan Technician preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in CT imaging preferred.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of CT scan procedures and equipment handling.
- Good communication and patient handling skills.
- Understanding of radiation safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in imaging.
- Ability to work in shifts and emergency duties.
Working Conditions
- Hospital/Diagnostic Center environment.
- Rotational shifts, including emergency and night duties if required.
Salary
As per hospital norms and experience.
Pay: ₹15,659.45 - ₹20,182.62 per month
