To ensure fabric is cut accurately as per the production plan and approved patterns while minimizing fabric wastage and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the daily cutting plan and prioritize orders.
- Check fabric quality, shade, and measurements before cutting.
- Lay fabrics properly for efficient cutting.
- Cut fabric according to markers and approved patterns.
- Ensure correct size, quantity, and bundle preparation.
- Minimize fabric wastage and utilize fabric efficiently.
- Identify and report any fabric defects or issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the cutting section.
- Coordinate with the production, sampling, and quality teams.
- Ensure all cut panels are properly labeled and sent to the next process.
- Follow company rules, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of garment cutting and fabric handling.
- Ability to read markers and measurements.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Teamwork and time management skills.
- Ability to work under production targets.
Qualification:
- 10th / 12th Pass or equivalent.
- Experience in garment cutting is preferred.
Experience:
- 0–2 Years: Junior Cutting Master / Helper
- 2–5 Years: Cutting Master
- 5+ Years: Senior Cutting Master
Preferred Qualities:
- Honest and disciplined.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Responsible for maintaining quality and reducing fabric wastage.
- Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
