QA Lead – Automation Testing

Description

We are looking for an Automation-focused QA Lead who can independently own automation testing, define testing strategies, and ensure high product quality across web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on automation experience, prior exposure to ERP product-based projects, and the ability to manage teams, clients, and multiple projects effectively.Manual testing knowledge is expected, but this role is primarily automation-driven.

Responsibilities

Handle the end-to-end automation testing strategy for web and mobile applications.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites
Ensure maximum test coverage through automation for regression, functional, and integration testing.
Lead mobile (App) automation and testing efforts for Android and/or iOS platforms.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously, planning automation scope, timelines, and priorities.
Act as the primary QA contact for clients, including quality discussions, reporting, and release readiness.
Review automation scripts, execution reports, and defect metrics to ensure quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams for smooth and continuous releases.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and ensure stable execution.
Perform defect root cause analysis and drive automation-led quality improvements.
Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team with a strong focus on automation maturity.
Ensure adherence to QA standards, documentation, and best practices.

Requirement

5+ years of experience in software testing with strong hands-on automation expertise.
Extensive experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
Proven experience in mobile application (App) testing and automation.
Strong experience in API testing and automation (Postman / REST APIs).
Good knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD practices.
Hands-on experience with Git or similar version control tools.
Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver without constant supervision.
Strong client handling, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage

Experience working on ERP product-based projects.
Prior exposure to Education domain ERP systems (Student Management, LMS, CRM, Admissions, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.
Basic understanding of security testing concepts.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure.
