As a Principal Engineer, you will be the go-to authority for complex technical problem solving, solution design, and long-term technology strategy, ensuring that our front-end and back-end systems are reliable, scalable, and future-ready.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux and RTOS-based platforms.
- Customize and maintain Yocto-based Linux distributions and Board Support Packages (BSPs)
- Develop and debug Linux kernel drives and RTOS drivers for peripherals such as: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, GPIO, PWM, ADC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi etc
- Perform board bring-up activities for new hardware platforms and EVKs.
- Work on device tree customization, bootloader configuration, and kernel integration.
- Develop embedded applications using C on Linux and RTOS environments.
- Integrate middleware, connectivity stacks, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Optimize boot time, memory usage, and system performance.
- Debug complex issues using hardware and software tools.
- Work with cross-compilation toolchains and CI/CD build environments.
- Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams for feature integration and validation.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture notes, and bring-up guides.
- Strong experience in Embedded Linux development
- Linux kernel configuration and customization
- Device tree development and debugging
- Driver development and kernel module programming
- Systemd, init systems, boot sequence understanding
- Filesystem integration and image generation.
- Strong Yocto Project experience
- Custom layer and recipe creation
- BSP integration and package management
- Experience with: BitBake, OpenEmbedded, SDK generation, Root filesystem customization
- Hands-on experience with Zephyr & FreeRTOS.
- Driver and middleware integration on RTOS platforms.
- Device Drivers & Low-Level Development.
- Linux kernel driver development.
- Interrupt handling and DMA concepts.
- Power management and clock framework understanding.
- Bootloader knowledge (U-Boot preferred).
