We are looking for an experienced Accounting Business Analyst with a strong understanding of insurance and accounting processes to join our dynamic team.
This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of accounting and financial systems within the insurance domain.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and conduct requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation for accounting and insurance-related projects.
Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications, focusing on insurance financial operations, such as premiums, claims, reinsurance, and reporting.
Specifies data, data objects, and information flows that align with the needs of the business.
Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and IT teams to design and implement solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Identify, prioritize, and proactively resolve issues within accounting and insurance processes.
Support project teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and implementation process to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong background in accounting and/or financial controlling, with solid knowledge of insurance accounting principles.
Practical understanding of insurance business processes, including policy administration, claims, reinsurance, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with IFRS 17, insurance regulations, and related financial reporting standards is highly desirable.
Proven ability to work independently across the full business analysis lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
Experience in IT-driven accounting or insurance projects, including ERP, financial systems, or insurance platform implementations.
Working knowledge of software development concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Experience in using tools like Jira, Confluence, LucidChart, or other software for requirements management, documentation, and process modeling
Experience with Agile frameworks
Experience with testing methodologies, test planning, and quality assurance processes to ensure reliable and robust systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills in English.
