Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented I/O Stream Lead Hardware Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing input/output sensors and data streaming interfaces for next-generation hardware products. You will work on cutting-edge technologies that enable seamless communication between hardware components, sensors, and processing units.
Key Responsibilities

Hardware Validation & Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability across I/O sensors

Own validation for all device I/O interfaces, such as:

Dock interfaces, smart cases, charging cradles
-
Debug interfaces (UART/JTAG/SWD), factory ports, test pads
-
Experience on sensors related validation such as magnetometer, ambient light, proximity, temperature, humidity etc.

Haptics/LEDs/buttons/touch interface validation (GPIO, interrupts, latency)
-
Define interface-level requirements, acceptance criteria, and coverage mapped to product use-cases.

Test Automation: Create Python-based automation scripts and frameworks for hardware testing, data collection, and regression testing

Hardware Verification: Create and execute test benches using Hardware Verification Languages (HVL) to validate I/O functionality

Sensor Integration: Design and implement camera interfaces, image sensors, and other sensor I/O systems

Power Management: Optimize power consumption for I/O subsystems while maintaining performance requirements

Firmware Integration: Collaborate with firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware interfaces with device drivers

Scripting & Tooling: Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline hardware validation workflows and improve test coverage

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive design documentation, test reports, and technical specifications

Work Experience
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering/Electronics(or related), or equivalent experience.

8+ years experience in product validation, systems test, or HW/SW integration for consumer electronics (wearables, mobile, XR/AR).

Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and hardware control

Experience with hardware validation methodologies and test plan development

Experience with FPGA-based prototyping and ASIC development

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using lab equipment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with consumer electronics or wearable devices.

Experience with Python libraries for hardware automation

Familiarity with automation frameworks for hardware testing

Experience with camera/display interfaces
-
Knowledge of real-time operating systems Android Debugging Skills (ADB)
