Job Description
Arena Animation Gandhinagar is looking for a passionate and skilled 2D Animation Faculty to train and mentor students in animation fundamentals, character animation, storytelling, and production workflows.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of 2D animation and the ability to explain concepts clearly through demonstrations, projects, and hands-on training.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct engaging and practical 2D Animation classes for students.
Teach animation principles, character animation, storytelling, and visual development.
Train students in 2D animation production workflows.
Demonstrate animation techniques through practical exercises and live projects.
Guide students in developing their portfolios and showreels.
Review student assignments and provide constructive feedback.
Mentor students on improving their animation quality, creativity, and technical skills.
Maintain regular student progress and classroom records.
Stay updated with current animation industry trends and production practices.
Support students in preparing industry-oriented projects and portfolios.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of 2D Animation fundamentals and principles.
Knowledge of character animation, acting, timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, and staging.
Good understanding of drawing and visual storytelling.
Practical knowledge of 2D animation production workflows.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and effective manner.
Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with students.
Ability to guide students through practical projects and portfolio development.
Preferred Software Knowledge
Adobe Animate
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop
Toon Boom Harmony or similar 2D animation software
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is creative, patient, responsible, and passionate about animation and teaching. Candidates with professional 2D animation production experience and/or teaching experience will be preferred.
