As we continue to expand our product portfolio, we are looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer who is passionate about industrial control systems and enjoys building reliable automation solutions.
Position Summary
The Industrial Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, programming, testing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications for our automation systems.
The role involves translating functional logic into reliable automation software, configuring industrial communication networks, supporting electrical integration, and working closely with the production and commissioning teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
This is a full-time, office-based engineering role requiring hands-on involvement throughout the product development and project execution lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesPLC Programming
- Develop PLC programs based on functional logic and process requirements provided by the engineering team.
- Create modular, maintainable, and well-documented PLC programs.
- Modify and troubleshoot existing PLC applications.
- Perform simulation and testing before deployment.
HMI Development
- Design operator-friendly HMI screens.
- Configure alarms, trends, recipes, user management, and parameter settings.
- Develop intuitive interfaces for industrial equipment and process control.
SCADA Development
- Develop and configure SCADA applications.
- Configure process monitoring, alarms, historical logging, trends, reports, and user access.
- Ensure reliable communication between PLCs and SCADA systems.
Industrial Communication
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including:
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP/IP
- RS-485
- Ethernet/IP (where applicable)
- TCP/IP communication
- Serial communication interfaces
- PLC-HMI communication
- PLC-SCADA communication
- Third-party device integration
System Integration
- Configure PLC peripherals and expansion modules.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, VFDs, controllers, transmitters, relays, and industrial instruments.
- Configure communication parameters including baud rates, parity, IP addresses, slave IDs, register mapping, and addressing.
Production & Electrical Support
- Prepare detailed wiring instructions for the production team.
- Provide terminal connection details and wiring diagrams where required.
- Share communication settings, addressing information, slave IDs, and network configuration.
- Assist during panel wiring and testing.
- Support troubleshooting during manufacturing and commissioning.
Testing & Validation
- Perform internal FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).
- Validate PLC logic before release.
- Identify and rectify software bugs.
- Support system commissioning when required.
Documentation
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- PLC software backups
- HMI project files
- SCADA project files
- Communication configuration documents
- I/O lists
- Register mapping
- Device addressing
- Version control records
- Programming documentation
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Electrical Design Engineers
- Production Team
- Project Engineers
- Installation Engineers
- Service Engineers
- Product Development Team
to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Required Skills
PLC Platforms - Experience in programming at least two or more of the following:
- Delta PLC
- Allen-Bradley PLC
HMI Platforms - Experience in:
- Delta HMI
- Schneider Electric HMI
SCADA -Experience in developing SCADA applications using any industry-standard platform.
Communication Protocols
Good understanding of:
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP
- RS-485
- TCP/IP
- Ethernet communication
- Industrial networking concepts
Electrical Knowledge
Understanding of:
- PLC I/O wiring
- Digital Inputs/Outputs

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on industrial automation programming experience.
- Experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA development is mandatory.
- Experience in industrial machine automation, process automation, refrigeration automation, or similar industries will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in one of the following:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering

- Any equivalent discipline
