Position: Duty Medical Officer (DMO)
Department: Medical Services / Clinical Operations
Location: Medicover Hospital, Nellore
Reports To: Medical Superintendent
Educational Qualification
- MBBS / BAMS / BHMS from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the respective State Medical Council / relevant statutory medical board.
- Freshers and experienced candidates may be considered, based on hospital requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Attend to patients in the Emergency, OPD, wards, and other assigned clinical areas.
- Conduct initial patient assessment and provide appropriate medical management.
- Monitor admitted patients and identify any deterioration in clinical condition.
- Attend emergency calls and initiate immediate treatment and stabilization.
- Coordinate with consultants and specialists for further management.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient case sheets, clinical notes, and medical records.
- Ensure timely implementation of doctors' orders and treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs, investigations, and patient progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding routine clinical care.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control practices, patient-safety protocols, and NABH standards.
- Ensure proper documentation of all clinical interventions.
- Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other hospital departments.
- Participate in night duties, rotational shifts, emergency duties, and on-call responsibilities as required.
- Escalate critical cases promptly to the concerned consultant/senior doctor.
- Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, discipline, and patient-centered care.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork and coordination with multidisciplinary hospital staff.
- Knowledge of hospital documentation and clinical protocols.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Experience
- 0–3 years of relevant hospital experience preferred.
- Freshers with valid registration may also be considered.
