Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the manufacturing process of sanitary napkin vending machines. The role ensures efficient production, quality compliance, cost control, and timely delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
- Monitor daily production output and address delays or bottlenecks
2. Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee assembly, fabrication, wiring, and testing of vending machines
- Ensure smooth functioning of production lines and equipment
- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvements
3. Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
- Coordinate with QC team for inspections and testing
- Handle defects, rework, and continuous improvement processes
4. Inventory & Materials Management
- Coordinate with procurement for raw materials (electronics, sheet metal, sensors, etc.)
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
- Track material consumption and wastage
5. Team Management
- Supervise production staff, technicians, and supervisors
- Train employees on processes, safety, and quality standards
- Evaluate performance and improve workforce productivity
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with factory laws, labour laws, and safety regulations
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections
- Promote a safe and hygienic working environment
7. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor production costs and reduce wastage
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime
- Prepare production reports and MIS
8. Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery
- Ensure minimal downtime and continuous operations
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering
- Additional certification in Production / Operations Management (preferred)
Professional Experience
- 5–10 years in manufacturing/production (preferably in electronics, machinery, or vending machines)
- Experience in assembly-based production units is highly desirable
