Role: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Changodar, Ahmedabad
Salary: Upto Rs. 35,000 Per Month
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 7–9 years of experience in Edible oil manufacturing ORSimilar FMCG / food processing industries
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor who can keep the plant running without excuses. This role is critical to minimising downtime, improving machine efficiency, and ensuring smooth operation across production and packaging lines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packaging Line Expertise (Must-Have)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- 500 ml & 1 L pouch/bottle filling machines
- 2L / 5L jar filling machines
- 15 kg tin/jar filling machines
- Troubleshoot filling accuracy, sealing issues, and line stoppages.
- Coordinate quick changeovers and ensure minimal downtime.
2. Breakdown Handling
- Take immediate ownership of machine failures.
- Diagnose root causes and implement permanent solutions (not temporary fixes).
3. Preventive Maintenance (PM) System
- Plan and execute PM schedules for all critical equipment.
- Maintain records and ensure zero missed schedules.
4. Spares & Inventory Management
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory.
- Avoid overstocking and stockouts—balance is key.
5. Coordination with Production
- Work closely with production team to align maintenance with production schedules.
- Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance work follows safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and compliance with factory norms.
Candidate Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with filling & packaging machinery
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
