Grade Levels: Pre-Primary to Secondary (as applicable)
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to inspire students and develop their musical abilities through vocal and instrumental training. The teacher will be responsible for planning engaging music lessons, preparing students for performances, and nurturing creativity and confidence in students.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons (vocal and/or instrumental).
- Teach Indian classical, light music, patriotic songs, rhymes, and school choir.
- Train students for school assemblies, annual day, competitions, and cultural programs.
- Identify and nurture musical talent among students.
- Introduce basic music theory, rhythm, melody, and notation.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with class teachers and school management for events and programs.
- Maintain records of student progress and participation.
- Ensure safe handling and maintenance of musical instruments.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of vocal music and/or musical instruments (Harmonium, Keyboard, Tabla, Guitar, etc.).
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage students across different age groups.
- Creative, energetic, and patient teaching approach.
- Willingness to participate in school events and activities.
- _ Required Qualifications _
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Music (Vocal or Instrumental) from a recognized institution OR
- Prabhakar / Visharad / Sangeet Alankar (from recognized music boards like Gandharva Mahavidyalaya / Prayag Sangeet Samiti)
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. preferred (not mandatory for co-curricular roles)
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a school (freshers with strong skills may apply)
- Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience in training school choirs or bands
- Knowledge of Western music along with Indian music
- Ability to handle music software or digital instruments
- Working Hours
As per school schedule (including rehearsals for events when required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
