Job Title – Extrusion Machine Operator – Polymer Compounding

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator with hands-on experience in polymer compounding and extrusion processes. The candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring twin-screw and single-screw extrusion lines, maintaining process parameters, ensuring consistent product quality, achieving production targets, and following all safety and operational standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
· Operate and monitor high-speed twin-screw and single-screw extrusion machines with accuracy.
· Set, verify, and adjust process parameters as per approved recipes and daily production plans.
· Handle gravimetric feeders, auto-feeding units, and auxiliary equipment efficiently.
· Ensure smooth start-up, continuous running, and proper shutdown of the extrusion line.
· Check and confirm raw material, recipe, batch settings, and feeding accuracy during production.
· Achieve assigned shift-wise production targets while maintaining optimal machine efficiency.
· Monitor actual vs. planned output and report deviations or abnormalities immediately.
· Coordinate with the supervisor to resolve process issues or material-related challenges.
· Conduct in-process quality checks related to colour, dispersion, granule consistency, and moisture levels.
· Maintain all processing parameters within the defined limits to ensure consistent product quality.
· Use calibrated measuring tools, testing equipment, and follow documentation standards strictly.
· Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality guidelines in all stages of production.
· Identify and report machine faults, unusual noises, or breakdown symptoms.
· Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE usage norms, and maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards.
· Ensure safe handling of materials, hot zones, and machinery to prevent accidents or damages.
· Maintain accurate production reports, process parameter sheets, and material consumption data.
· Record downtime, wastage, and process changes accurately and escalate issues promptly
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- Strong hands-on knowledge of plastic extrusion and polymer compounding processes.
- Practical experience with twin-screw and/or single-screw extruders.
- Working knowledge of gravimetric feeders, auto-feeding systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Good understanding of extrusion process parameters including temperature, screw speed, feeder speed, pressure, torque, and throughput.
- Knowledge of polymers, additives, colour masterbatches, fillers, and other compounding materials.
Eligibility Criteria
Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in extrusion, polymer compounding, plastic processing, or colour masterbatch manufacturing.
Qualification: CIPET – PGPPT / DPT preferred.
Technical Requirement: Must have hands-on experience operating extrusion machinery and preferably twin-screw compounding lines.
Shift Requirement: Must be comfortable working in rotational shifts, including all applicable shifts.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
