We are seeking a talented and experienced BIM Manager to lead and manage the implementation of BIM technology and processes within our organization. The BIM Manager will be responsible for driving the effective use of BIM on MEP, engineering, and construction projects, streamlining collaboration, and optimizing project efficiency.
Responsibilities:
BIM Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies, standards, and workflows within the organization.
Training and Education: Provide BIM training and support to staff members, ensuring they are proficient in BIM software and best practices.
Standards and Protocols: Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and naming conventions to ensure consistency across projects.
Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, by overseeing the integration of BIM models.
Model Coordination: Ensure the coordination and clash detection of architectural, structural, and MEP models, resolving conflicts and inconsistencies as needed.
Quality Control: Review BIM models for accuracy and compliance with project requirements and standards.
Software Management: Stay current with the latest BIM software and tools, evaluate and recommend software upgrades, and manage the deployment of new technologies.
Project Support: Provide guidance and support to project teams on BIM-related issues, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Documentation: Oversee the creation of construction documents and drawings from BIM models, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
BIM Strategy: Develop and execute a BIM strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and project requirements.
BIM Research: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in BIM, and assess their potential application to the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a BIM Manager in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm.
Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other relevant software.
Strong understanding of BIM concepts, processes, and methodologies.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work well in a team and meet project deadlines.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
BIM-related certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BIM Certified Professional).
Experience with BIM-related software, such as Navisworks, Dynamo, or BIM 360.
Knowledge of sustainable and green building practices.
Familiarity with 3D visualization and rendering tools.
