Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing and strengthening the people function across hiring, employee engagement, HR operations, performance processes, and workplace culture. This role requires someone who has prior experience working with couture, luxury fashion, designer labels, or premium retail environments, and understands the unique ecosystem of creative teams, artisans, atelier operations, and fashion business workflows. The ideal candidate should combine process discipline with strong interpersonal sensitivity and professionalism.
Core Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Hiring
Manage end-to-end recruitment across design, production, merchandising, marketing, retail, and corporate functions.
Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, and hiring workflows.
Build strong hiring pipelines aligned with brand culture and role requirements.
Ensure positive candidate experience and professional stakeholder coordination
2. HR Operations & Compliance
Oversee onboarding and employee documentation processes.
Maintain HR records, attendance, leave management, and employee databases.
Support payroll coordination and policy implementation.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and organizational policies.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
Support development of a positive, disciplined, and collaborative workplace culture.
Plan employee engagement initiatives and internal communication activities.
Address employee concerns professionally and maintain workplace confidentiality.
Help strengthen retention and employee experience practices.
4. Performance & Process Management
Support performance review cycles and appraisal coordination.
Assist department heads with manpower planning and organizational structuring.
Drive HR process improvements and operational efficiency.
Maintain recruitment trackers, HR reports, and process documentation.
5. Leadership & Coordination
Act as a bridge between management and employees across departments.
Coordinate with leadership teams for workforce planning and organizational priorities.
Maintain professionalism while handling sensitive people matters.
Ideal Candidate Profile
5–6 years of HR experience within couture, luxury fashion, designer labels, premium retail, or lifestyle brands.
Strong understanding of hiring creative and operational fashion talent.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Professional, discreet, and process-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in fast-paced and evolving business environments.
Strong ownership and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA / PGDM in HR or related field.
Prior experience in couture houses or premium fashion brands preferred.
Familiarity with HRMS systems and recruitment platforms.
