Fitter / Mechanical Diploma + Quality Control (QC) Inspector
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Quality Assurance:
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of welded and fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications.
- Conduct material identification and traceability checks as per the project requirements.
- Freshers are welcomed
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
- Verify that welders are qualified and adhering to established procedures.
Testing & Reporting:
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as radiography, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle inspections where required.
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality reports, inspection checklists, and logs.
Problem Resolution:
- Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and suggest corrective actions.
- Liaise with teams to address quality concerns and ensure compliance.
Documentation:
- Maintain records of inspections, NDT results, and material certificates.
- Ensure proper documentation of all QC activities.
Safety & Standards:
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to during all QC activities.
- Stay updated with the latest shipbuilding codes and standards.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of welding standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
ITI Fitter with QC certification
OR
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with QC certification
Specialization in Welding QC is mandatory
