Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Liaisoning Officer to coordinate with port authorities, government departments, vessel agents, customs, and other regulatory agencies for the smooth execution of terminal and vessel operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of port procedures, statutory compliances, documentation, and excellent coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Port Authorities, Customs, CISF, Immigration, Shipping Agents, Vessel Masters, and other government agencies.
- Coordinate vessel berthing, cargo handling, loading/unloading, and sailing formalities.
- Ensure timely completion of all documentation related to vessel operations and terminal activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Commercial, and Security.
- Obtain necessary approvals, permits, gate passes, and statutory clearances from relevant authorities.
- Monitor vessel schedules and ensure operational readiness for arrivals and departures.
- Facilitate inspections by statutory authorities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with port officials, government departments, and external stakeholders.
- Resolve operational issues by coordinating with concerned authorities to minimize delays.
- Maintain records of correspondence, approvals, permits, and statutory documents.
- Support audits, compliance activities, and emergency response coordination when required.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong liaisoning and government coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Kandla Port procedures and vessel operations.
- Understanding of customs, port documentation, and statutory compliances.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Liquid Terminals, Port Operations, Shipping, Marine Logistics, Tank Farms, or Maritime Operations.
- Familiarity with vessel nomination, berthing, documentation, and cargo operations.
- Existing working relationships with Kandla Port authorities and government departments will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in port, shipping, terminal, or vessel operations.
- Candidates from Liquid Storage Terminals, Shipping Companies, Port Operations, Marine Logistics, Tank Farms, or CHA will be preferred.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic operational environment with flexibility for vessel schedules.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per hour
