Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities with modern trade retailers and key accounts.
- Expand the company's presence across regional and national retail chains.
2. Key Account Management
- Manage relationships with key modern trade customers such as DMart, Reliance Retail, Walmart, Metro, Spencer's, More Retail, and other organized retail chains.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts.
- Negotiate annual business plans, commercial terms, and promotional activities.
3. Sales Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and demand plans.
- Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability.
- Monitor stock levels and prevent out-of-stock situations.
4. Trade Promotions & Marketing
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and in-store activities.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for branding and visibility initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of promotional campaigns.
5. Distribution & Merchandising
- Ensure proper product placement and visibility across retail stores.
- Monitor planogram compliance and merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with merchandisers and distributors for execution.
6. Revenue & Profitability Management
- Achieve sales, collection, and profitability targets.
- Monitor trade spends, discounts, and promotional budgets.
- Analyze sales performance and recommend corrective actions.
7. Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the modern trade sales team.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
8. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor products, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Identify new product opportunities based on customer demand.
- Share market insights with senior management.
9. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Analyze sales data and customer performance.
- Present business reviews and sales updates to management.
10. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure timely order processing, dispatches, and payment collections.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly.
