- Workflow Management & Optimization: Assigns duties, monitors workflow efficiency, and implements process improvements (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Personnel Management and Leadership: Supervises, coaches, trains, and disciplines production staff. They facilitate a "spirit of cooperation" and manage employee shifts to ensure optimal manpower.
- Quality Control (QC) Enforcement: Ensures products meet company and industry quality standards by conducting inspections, monitoring production data, and taking corrective actions, as discussed in.
- Safety Compliance (HSE): Enforces strict health and safety procedures (e.g., OSHA standards) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment and Resource Maintenance: Monitors machinery, ensures proper usage, and schedules maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime.
