Overview
The Senior Process Associate (SPA) – Cash Application is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments across various payment channels. The role requires strong analytical skills, customer focus, and the ability to work with high volumes while maintaining accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
How you'll make an impact

Process and post customer payments (ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards) in ERP systems

Accurately apply payments to customer invoices based on remittance details

Research and resolve unapplied/unidentified cash on a timely basis

Maintain and monitor customer account reconciliations

Review remittance advice from multiple sources (emails, portals, bank statements)

Coordinate with customers, AR teams, and internal stakeholders to clarify payment discrepancies

Support daily/weekly/monthly cash application reporting as required

Ensure adherence to internal controls (SOX, audit compliance)

Assist in month-end closing activities including reconciliations and variance explanations

Identify process gaps and propose enhancements for accuracy and efficiency

Participate in process standardization and automation initiatives

About you
-
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field
-
3+ years of experience in AR – Cash Application in a shared services environment

Strong understanding of O2C/AR processes

Proficiency in MS Office
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Ability to manage high-volume transactions with accuracy
-
Proficient in handling calls and escalations with On-shore and Branches
-
Flexible to work in shifts if required
-
Experience working with banking portals and lockbox systems.

Exposure to global customers
-
Knowledge of SLA/KPI-driven environments.
