Perform MIG welding on metal components as per drawings and work instructions.
Carry out gas cutting, grinding, beveling, and surface preparation before and after welding.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and ensure proper fit-up and alignment.
Inspect welded joints for strength, penetration, and finish as per quality standards.
Identify and rectify welding defects such as cracks or porosity.
Operate and maintain welding machines, gas cutting equipment, and grinders.
Ensure proper handling and storage of welding consumables.
Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and tools.
Coordinate with supervisors and production team to meet daily targets.
Report machine faults, safety hazards, or quality issues promptly.
Ensure work is completed on time without compromising quality.
ITI in Welding/Fabrication or Diploma in Mechanical/Welding Technology (preferred).
1–5 years of experience in welding or fabrication in a manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience in MIG welding, gas cutting, grinding, and basic fabrication work.
Ability to read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Knowledge of welding defects and basic troubleshooting (cracks, porosity, etc.).
Familiarity with welding machines, gas cutting equipment, and grinders.
Understanding of welding safety practices and proper use of PPE.
Ability to maintain weld quality, proper alignment, and finishing.
Teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to meet production targets.
Physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing environment / shifts if required.
