Packaging & Quality Verification
- Batch Verification: Verify yarn lot numbers, counts (e.g., 20s, 30s, 40s), and blend compositions against delivery orders.
- Weight Auditing: Cross-check the gross, net, and tare weights of yarn pallets or bags to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Packaging Inspection: Ensure boxes or polypropylene bags are soundly strapped, labeled with moisture-barrier seals, and safely stacked.
- Damage Control: Isolate any damaged yarn cones (e.g., oil stains, deformed cores) before they reach the loading bay. [1, 2, 3]
Logistics & Fleet Management
- Carrier Coordination: Schedule internal container fleets or external transport vendors based on order sizes.
- Freight Optimization: Plan efficient space utilization within trucks to protect delicate yarn packages from crushing.
- Loading Operations: Supervise the forklift and labor crews during actual truck loading to prevent accidents and damage.
- Delivery Tracking: Track transit status using GPS and communicate real-time delivery estimates to customers. [1, 2, 4, 5]
Inventory, Documentation & Compliance
- ERP Maintenance: Log and update all inward and outward product movements in systems like SAP or Tally.
- Legal Documentation: Generate accurate Tax Invoices, Delivery Challans, and Packing Lists.
- E-Way Bills: Issue timely digital E-Way Bills and transport declarations required for regulatory compliance.
- Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of the finished goods warehouse to match physical inventory with system records. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Team Leadership & Safety
- Workforce Scheduling: Organize daily and weekly rotas, shifts, and duties for the packaging and loading staff.
- Safety Enforcement: Maintain absolute compliance with safety protocols regarding material handling and high-stack warehousing.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular evaluations and one-on-one feedback sessions with the warehouse and dispatch crew.
