Job Summary
Broadridge is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technology Lead (Full-Stack Java + UI) to join a focused, energetic and dedicated team developing our ground-breaking FinTech SaaS wealth products running in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Experience designing, developing and delivering full-stack cloud-native software solutions on AWS is highly desirable.
We are looking for an engineer who collaborates effectively across Engineering, Product, QA and UX teams, continuously raises engineering standards, contributes to technical design discussions, and can work across modern Front-End applications, REST APIs, Java/Spring Boot microservices and cloud-native delivery practices.
This position is offered on a contract basis and is based in either Hyderabad or Bangalore using a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be expected to ramp up quickly and contribute to the delivery of strategic product initiatives from an early stage.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain full-stack functionality for multi-tier, web-based financial products used by banks and other Financial Institutions.
- Work across Front-End/UI, Back-End services, REST APIs, database and cloud/infrastructure layers while collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX stakeholders, QA and Engineering teams.
- Develop modern, responsive web applications using Angular and/or ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
- Design and develop Java 8+, Spring Boot based RESTful APIs, microservices and integration components for cloud-native financial products.
- Integrate Front-End applications with Java and Python-based Back-End services through well-designed REST APIs and clear API contracts.
- Design and develop reusable, responsive UI components while also contributing to service-layer design, API implementation and data access patterns.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS together with technologies such as Docker, Nomad, Terraform and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions and architecture discussions across both Front-End and Back-End areas.
- Optimise application performance, accessibility, usability, API latency, reliability and overall user experience.
- Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous improvement across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, performant and robust software within agreed delivery estimates and quality standards.
- Contribute to estimation exercises that feed into product roadmap planning.
- Participate in changes, and continuous improvements, to existing software development, testing and deployment processes.
- Demonstrate technical ownership of assigned features while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
Skill Requirements
1. Proficient in java programming language and related frameworks
2. Experience with developing and deploying microservices architecture
3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in react.js and related libraries
4. Familiarity with restful apis and web services
5. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Other Requirements
1.Relevant certifications in Java, Microservices, or React will be a plus
