Business Development Manager (BDM) – Roles & Responsibilities (Sales Profile)
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company sales and revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential customer segments for business expansion.
Lead generation through networking, industry contacts, referrals, market research, and sales channels.
Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Drive customer acquisition and ensure successful conversion of leads into business opportunities.
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting, client meetings, negotiation, closure, and post-sales support.
Understand client requirements and provide customized business solutions.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, commercial offers, and business plans.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients to close profitable deals.
Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and business growth objectives.
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasting.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of products/services.
Conduct market analysis and track competitor activities to improve sales strategies.
Expand business presence in existing and new territories.
Lead, guide, and support the sales team to improve performance and productivity.
Set sales goals, monitor team performance, and ensure achievement of targets.
Train and mentor Business Development Executives and sales team members.
Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Technical teams for smooth execution of projects.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns and maintaining long-term relationships.
Monitor payment follow-ups, collections, and commercial closures with clients.
Maintain sales reports, MIS, CRM updates, and management dashboards.
Participate in exhibitions, conferences, industry events, and networking activities.
Provide regular business updates, market feedback, and strategic inputs to senior management.
Represent the company professionally and strengthen brand presence in the market.
