- Create 3D models and blueprints using CAD software.
- Build initial test models to check if the design works.
- Select safe and useful materials for the product.
- Run tests to see how the product handles stress and regular use.
- Fix design flaws found during tests.
- Ensure the product follows all safety laws and industry rules.
- Check if the product can be made easily and cheaply.
- Work with suppliers to buy parts and raw materials.
- Keep track of project schedules and budgets
