Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving production processes while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Maintain daily production reports, work orders, and production records.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Reduce production losses, rejection, rework, and material wastage.
- Implement and monitor 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Store departments for smooth production operations.
- Follow and implement SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Analyze production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and guide machine operators and production staff.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with company safety policies.
- Support new product development and process improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of production documentation and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing company.
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, automotive components, or engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
