About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Factory HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations at our manufacturing facility in Barasat (Sondalia), Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in plywood manufacturing, with a strong understanding of factory HR practices, statutory compliance, employee relations, and workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete HR operations for the factory workforce.
- Handle recruitment of blue-collar, staff, supervisors, and factory executives.
- Conduct onboarding, induction, and joining formalities for new employees.
- Maintain employee attendance, leave records, overtime, and shift rosters.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the Head Office payroll team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and domestic enquiries.
- Maintain cordial industrial relations and support a positive work culture.
- Coordinate performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and statutory registers.
- Liaise with factory management for manpower planning and workforce optimization.
- Coordinate with EHS/Safety teams to ensure statutory compliance and employee safety.
- Support audits related to HR and statutory compliance.
- Assist management in implementing HR policies and organizational initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR will be preferred.
- 5–8 years of Factory HR experience is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a Plywood Manufacturing Company is mandatory.
