Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
We are seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager (ASM) with 4 to 8 years of experience to lead our sales operations, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence across Delhi NCR, India. The ASM will be responsible for managing the distributor network (General Trade/Modern Trade), leading a team of Sales Officers/Executives, and executing localized sales strategies to meet regional business targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Target Achievement: Own and achieve the Primary and Secondary sales targets for the assigned Delhi NCR territory.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and track the performance of Sales Officers (SOs) and Field Executives. Conduct regular joint field work to coach the team on the ground.
- Channel & Distributor Management: Appoint, manage, and evaluate ROI for super stockists, distributors, and dealers. Ensure optimum stock availability across all retail counters.
- Market Expansion: Increase numeric and weighted distribution by identifying untapped micro-markets, wholesale hubs, and high-potential retail outlets across Delhi and neighboring NCR zones.
- BTL & Promotional Activities: Execute localized marketing campaigns, trade schemes, and merchandising activities to increase brand visibility.
- Financial Discipline: Monitor distributor outstanding dues, ensure timely collections, and strictly adhere to the company's credit policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of proven experience in channel sales within India, with at least 2 years as an ASM or Senior Sales Executive handling a team.
- Education: Graduate in any stream (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, etc.). An MBA/PGDM in Marketing is highly preferred.
- Industry Background: Experience in FMCG, FMCD, OTC/Pharma, Telecom, or Building Materials is preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Hindi and English is mandatory for managing both local trade and corporate reporting.
- Geographical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Delhi NCR’s major commercial hubs and wholesale markets
- Must possess a valid driving license and be open to extensive travel across the territory.
