Responsibilities:
Role Type: One-year co-op internship
Education: Final-year B.E., M.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech students
Function: Software Engineering / Test Automation / AI-enabled Automation
Location: Bangalore / Hybrid, based on business requirements
We are looking for a motivated and curious co-op intern to support the automation of graphical user interface workflows using modern AI tools and automation frameworks. The intern will work with software engineering and validation teams to design, develop, and improve GUI automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve test coverage, and accelerate product validation cycles.

Understand existing GUI workflows, manual validation steps, and automation opportunities.

Develop and maintain GUI automation scripts using tools and frameworks such as Python, Squish

Explore and apply AI-assisted tools to improve test script generation, test maintenance, defect analysis, and automation productivity.

Collaborate with engineering teams to identify repetitive manual tasks and convert them into reliable automated workflows.

Create reusable automation components, utilities, and documentation for long-term maintainability.

Analyze automation execution results, debug failures, and support root-cause analysis.

Contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices, coding standards, and reporting mechanisms.

Present progress, learnings, and outcomes to mentors and stakeholders on a regular basis.

Currently pursuing the final year of B.E., M.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Strong interest in software development, test automation, artificial intelligence, and productivity tools.

Basic programming knowledge in Python, or similar language.

Understanding of software testing concepts, debugging, and problem-solving techniques.

Ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies quickly.

Good analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Availability to commit to a one-year internship duration.

Exposure to GUI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, PyAutoGUI, WinAppDriver, or similar frameworks.

Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools, code assistants, prompt engineering, or generative AI productivity workflows.

Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps is a plus.

Experience with test case design, defect tracking, logs, or automation reporting is desirable.

Academic projects, internships, or coursework related to automation, AI/ML, software testing, or tool development will be an advantage.

Practical experience in GUI test automation for real-world software workflows.

Hands-on exposure to AI-assisted engineering practices and automation productivity improvements.

Understanding of software validation, debugging, reporting, and quality engineering practices.

Experience working in a collaborative engineering environment with mentorship from experienced professionals.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven final-year engineering student with CGPA more than 7.5 who enjoys solving problems, experimenting with new technologies, and building practical automation solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working with code, learning AI-enabled tools, collaborating with engineers, and converting manual GUI workflows into scalable automation.
