The Team
Our Performance Improvement team provides Business Transformation and Performance Improvement Services to Corporates, Investors, and their portfolio companies, delivering –
- Performance improvement via cost reduction and revenue growth programmes
- Large, complex organizational restructuring and business transformation
- Rapid Results Program, which helps to quickly and effectively assess business process management risks and identify key areas impeding performance
How you will contribute
1. Accounting Advisory:
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in US GAAP / IFRS, lead technical accounting assessments on complex areas (revenue, leases, credit losses, consolidations) draft policy/position memos and advise leadership/auditors on conclusions.
- Build and review financial models to evaluate accounting treatments and their impacts - quantify P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow effects and perform scenario/sensitivity analyses to inform management decisions.
- Diagnose EBITDA volatility and unexpected results to identify non-recurring items and post-close late journals, implement corrective actions, and stabilize the close by instituting appropriate controls.
- Optimize and advise on record to report processes (close, consolidation, intercompany, reconciliations, disclosure) and design/enhance ICFR/SOX controls (risk assessment, control design/testing, remediation), establish policy governance and data quality standards.
2. Financial Reporting (Internal and Statutory):
- Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures (including opening/closing balance sheets and carve outs) to meet US GAAP / IFRS, SEC, and statutory requirements.
3. External Reporting (SEC and Public Filings):
- Draft / review SEC filings (10 K/10 Q), prepare MD&A and pro forma information, coordinate audit readiness/comfort letters.
4. Common / Cross-Functional
- Partner with technology teams to enable ERP/EPM and disclosure systems (requirements, configuration validation, UAT, go live) and implement self-service reporting to improve cycle time, data quality, and insight generation.
- Drive change management for new standards, policies, and tools by developing training, communications, and adoption metrics, coach client finance teams for sustained capability.
- Communicate complex accounting/reporting matters to executives and boards, prepare audit ready documentation and lead issue resolution with auditors and regulators.
- Manage multi-workstream engagements (scope, timeline, budget, risks/issues, quality), contribute to practice development through proposals, methodologies, and team coaching.
Qualifications
- Candidate with 6-11 Years of experience-
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, or ACCA) required, advanced degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Expertise in public accounting (Big 4/large firm) and/or public-company reporting experience, including technical accounting and external reporting exposure
- Experience with complex US GAAP / IFRS topics (e.g., revenue, leases, business combinations, consolidations, credit losses) and drafting technical memos/policies.
- SEC reporting / IPO readiness exposure (10 K/10 Q/8 K, S 1/F 1, MD&A, pro formas) and coordination with external auditors and counsel preferred
- Strong knowledge of ICFR/SOX (404) requirements, experience designing, documenting, and/or testing financial reporting controls, familiarity with disclosure controls and procedures
- Advanced Excel, proficiency with ERP and consolidation/EPM tools, Workiva or similar SEC/reporting platforms a plus
- Demonstrated capability advising on transactions (M&A/carveouts, debt/equity offerings) and translating technical conclusions into P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow impacts
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and to lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements in FP&A processes.
- Project Management: Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
