Job Description – Production Engineer (Assembly)
Designation: Production Engineer
Department: Production / Assembly
Experience: 3–6 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Handle and monitor assembly production operations to achieve daily production targets.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot SPM (Special Purpose Machine) used in assembly processes.
Ensure smooth production flow while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Plan manpower, machines, and materials as per production requirements.
Identify and resolve production-related issues and machine breakdowns.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams for smooth production.
Monitor machine parameters, cycle time, rejection, and overall equipment efficiency.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and maintain daily production reports and other production-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Minimize rejection, downtime, and production losses through effective process control.
Required Skills:
Must have hands-on experience in Assembly Production.
SPM Machine experience is mandatory.
Good knowledge of production processes, troubleshooting, and manpower handling.
Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, OEE, and Lean Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
