Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Flexo Printing Machine Operator to run our 7-color Nilpeter flexo press. The ideal candidate must have deep technical knowledge of narrow-web flexo printing, excellent registration control, and experience handling high-quality sticker and label manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Independent setup, operation, and maintenance of the 7-color Nilpeter flexo printing press.
- Job Setup: Efficiently handle plate mounting, ink mixing, color matching (Pantone system), and setting up doctor blades and anilox rollers.
- Quality Control: Ensure sharp print registration, consistent color density, and flawless finishing (die-cutting, UV curing, or lamination) throughout the run.
- Wastage Control: Minimize substrate, ink, and time wastage during job changeovers and make-ready phases.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve printing defects such as banding, halo effects, misregistration, or ink spitting.
- Maintenance: Perform routine daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the machine to prevent downtime.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically operating Nilpeter or similar high-end narrow-web flexo presses.
- Color Expertise: Strong understanding of CMYK and Pantone color matching.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with UV inks, water-based inks, different substrates (BOPP, Paper, Vinyl, Film), and inline die-cutting tooling.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read job tickets accurately and match digital designs perfectly on the final printed substrate.
