Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and academically strong Academic Coordinator / Vice Principal to support the Principal in the overall academic and administrative functioning of the school. The candidate will provide academic leadership, supervise teaching and learning, coordinate academic activities, and ensure effective implementation of the school curriculum and academic policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Principal in the day-to-day academic and administrative management of the school.
- Plan and monitor the academic calendar, curriculum, timetable, and examination schedule.
- Supervise lesson planning, classroom teaching, assessments, examinations, and academic activities.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Guide and mentor teachers to improve teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, result preparation, and academic reporting.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, academic performance, and overall development.
- Organize teacher meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Coordinate with teachers, department heads, students, and parents to resolve academic concerns.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus and effective curriculum implementation.
- Analyze academic performance data and prepare reports for the Principal and School Management.
- Promote innovative, student-centered, and technology-enabled teaching practices.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and a safe, positive, and professional school environment.
- Support student counseling, academic mentoring, and parent communication.
- Represent the school in academic meetings, events, and programs when required.
- Assist the Principal in implementing school policies and institutional improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. / M.Ed. or equivalent recognized qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of teaching and academic administration experience.
- Previous experience as an Academic Coordinator, HOD, Senior Teacher, or Vice Principal will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment, school administration, and academic leadership.
