Job Summary
An Airport Terminal Helper maintaining smooth day-to-day Cargo terminal operations. The role includes helping the organization with directions, support, queue management, basic customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and Unloading Cargo: Moving goods from trucks, ships, or aircraft using manual labor or equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, or conveyors.
Sorting and Organizing: Segregating cargo by type, destination, or coding system to streamline distribution and prevent errors.
Documentation and Inventory: Verifying shipment documentation, tracking cargo, labeling items, and reporting damaged or missing goods.
Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols, handling dangerous goods properly, and adhering to regulatory requirements such as TSA screening for airport cargo.
Equipment Operation: Operating heavy machinery and vehicles when necessary, including forklifts, trucks, or cranes, to move large or heavy cargo
Work Area Maintenance: Keeping workspaces clean, organized, and safe, and performing routine inspections of equipment
