About the Role
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to work on the mechanical side of hardware and product development: CAD modelling, prototyping, enclosures, and mechanical integration with electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, mounts, brackets, and assemblies.
- Create and modify 2D/3D CAD models.
- Assist with prototyping, measurements, assembly, and testing; identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Assist in material selection and manufacturing considerations.
- Prepare and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, and other engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with electronics and software teams on hardware integration.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD/FreeCAD.
- Understanding of 3D modelling, technical drawings, materials, geometrical analysis and manufacturing processes.
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on interest in hardware/product development.
Preferred Skills
- SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / AutoCAD / FreeCAD
- Experience working with 3D printers;
- CNC exposure
- Basic understanding of electronics and hardware integration
