Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales and business growth within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mobile handset or telecom sales, channel management, distributor handling, and retail market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors and retail partners.
- Expand market reach by identifying new business opportunities and increasing outlet coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key channel partners.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, merchandising, and brand presence across the market.
- Monitor secondary sales and retail off-take to improve market penetration.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, retailer engagement programs, and sales campaigns.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competition, pricing, and customer feedback.
- Train distributor sales teams and promoters on product features and sales techniques.
- Analyze sales performance and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product supply and resolve channel issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Telecom, Mobile Handset, Consumer Electronics, or FMCG sales.
- Experience in handling distributors, retailers, and channel sales.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
